It covers creating a Teams agent, installing the Brainfish Teams app (bot), connecting via Microsoft sign-in and authorization (OAuth), selecting the correct workspace and channel, configuring knowledge filtering and agent behavior, and verifying the connection by interacting with the bot. It also includes an overview of **conversation-to-knowledge creation**, which can analyze Teams channel/thread conversations and turn repeatable solutions and FAQs into draft knowledge-base content (when enabled). ## When to Use This Use this guide when you want to: - Enable Microsoft Teams users to interact with a Brainfish agent directly from Teams channels - Manage existing Teams connections and channel assignments - (Optional) Capture repeatable knowledge from Teams conversations as draft knowledge-base articles ## Prerequisites - Access to Brainfish with permission to create agents - A Microsoft Teams account with access to the workspace and channel you want to connect - Permission in Microsoft Teams to install (or side-load) apps, if required by your organization ## Step-by-Step Instructions 1. **Create a New Agent**: In Brainfish, navigate to the **Agents** tab/section and click **Create new agent**. Name it (e.g., "Teams Agent") and provide a description if desired. 2. **Select Teams Integration**: Choose **Teams** (Microsoft Teams) to start the setup for this integration. 3. **Install the Brainfish app (bot) in Teams**: - In the Teams setup flow, go to **Connect to Teams**. - If you haven't installed the app in Teams yet, follow the on-screen instructions to **download the app package** and **side-load** it into your Microsoft Teams workspace. - Once the app is installed in Teams, return to Brainfish to continue. 4. **Connect to Teams**: - Click **Connect**. 5. **Sign in and authorize (OAuth)**: - When prompted, sign in to your Microsoft account. - Authorize the requested permissions. **Note:** OAuth authorization is part of the standard Teams connection flow. Private channels are not supported. ### Bot tagging / mention requirement - Users must tag (**@mention**) the bot handle in their message for the agent to respond. ### Conversation-to-knowledge creation from Teams (optional) If conversation-to-knowledge creation is enabled, Brainfish can analyze eligible Microsoft Teams **channel and thread conversations** to identify useful, repeatable knowledge and convert it into **structured draft content** for your knowledge base. Drafts should be **reviewed and refined before publishing** to maintain accuracy and consistency. ## Conversation-to-Knowledge Creation (Feature Overview) ### What it does Brainfish can analyze Microsoft Teams channel and thread conversations to identify useful, repeatable knowledge (such as solutions, FAQs, and recurring questions) and convert it into clear, structured draft content for your knowledge base.
