# How to Create a New Slack Agent

## Summary

This article demonstrates the initial steps to create a new Slack Agent specifically designed for Slack integration within the Brainfish dashboard.

## When to Use This

Follow these steps when you are setting up a new line of support or a new bot instance for your Slack workspace.

## Step-by-Step Instructions


1. On the main **Agents** page in the Brainfish dashboard, click the **Create** button.
2. From the list of agent types, select **Slack**.
3. Enter a name for your agent (for example, **"Slack Support Channel"**).

   
   1. (Optional) Add a description to clarify this agent’s purpose or the team/channel it will support.
   2. Select a color icon to visually represent this agent in the dashboard.
4. Click **Create** to finalize the initial setup of your Stack Agent.
