# How to Manage Agents

## Introduction

This article provides a comprehensive guide to managing agents within the platform. It covers the essential lifecycle of an agent, including the step-by-step processes for creating a new agent, configuring its basic settings, and deleting it when it's no longer needed.

## Steps

### Creating a New Agent


1. From the main dashboard, navigate to the **Agents** section.
2. Click the **+ Create new agent** button in the top-right corner.
3. On the **Create a new agent** page, enter an **Agent name** and an optional **Agent description**.
4. Select a connection type from the available options (e.g., Widget, Help Center, Slack).
5. Click the **Create** button. You will be taken to the new agent's configuration page.

### Deleting an Agent


1. From the **Agents** page, locate the agent you wish to delete.
2. Click the three-dot menu icon on the agent's card.
3. Select **Delete** from the dropdown menu.
4. A confirmation dialog will appear. Click the **I'm sure - Delete** button to permanently remove the agent.
