# How to Set Up Multiple Help Centers in Brainfish

## Overview

Brainfish supports **multiple help centers from a single account**, so you can create separate, independently branded and segmented knowledge experiences for different audiences. This is useful when you serve multiple customer types, geographies, product lines, or need internal vs. external documentation.

## When to Use Multiple Help Centers

Create multiple help centers when you need to:

* Serve different customer types with distinct content (e.g., **candidates vs. recruiters**, **admins vs. end users**)
* Provide region-specific, localized experiences (e.g., **AU vs. NZ**)
* Separate **internal** documentation from **external-facing** help content
* Create product-line-specific knowledge bases
* Deliver **white-labeled** or custom-branded experiences per customer account

## How to Set Up a New Help Center

### 1) Access Help Center Settings

1. In your Brainfish dashboard, navigate to **Help Center**.
2. Open **Themes & Customization**.
3. Select **Add New Help Center**.

### 2) Configure Content & Knowledge

Each help center can connect to its own set of knowledge collections, keeping content isolated between audiences.

* Assign the **Collections** that should appear in this help center
* Enable **knowledge filtering** by domain or customer attribute for dynamic segmentation (if needed)
* Set up **role-based access control (RBAC)** if the help center should be restricted

### 3) Customize Branding

Each help center supports independent branding.

* Upload a unique **logo** and set **brand colors**
* Apply **custom CSS** for full design control
* Configure a **custom domain** (e.g., `docs.yourcompany.com`)
* Optionally enable **password protection** for private help centers

### 4) Configure the Help Center Agent

Each help center includes its own agent that can be configured independently.

* Set a distinct **Agent Identity** for the target audience
* Define the agent’s **knowledge scope**
* Configure response behavior and **escalation paths**

### 5) Go Live

* Estimated setup time: **1–2 weeks** for full implementation
* Configuration help is available from the Brainfish team: **hello@brainfi.sh**

## Use Case Examples

| Scenario | Recommended Setup |
|----|----|
| Recruiter vs. Candidate | Two help centers, each with audience-specific collections and agent identities |
| Australia vs. New Zealand | Two help centers with region-specific content and separate custom domains |
| Internal team vs. External customers | Internal help center with access control; public help center open to all |
| Multiple product lines | One help center per product with distinct branding |
