# Moving Channels Between Agents

## Summary

This guide explains how to reassign a Slack channel to the correct Brainfish agent if it was automatically claimed by the wrong one during the invitation process.

[How to move agents in Brainfish (video tutorial) 1902x858](https://help.brainfi.sh/api/attachments.redirect?id=d5970d68-48c4-4137-a9da-5622c94db081&start=231&end=315)

## When to Use This

Use this process if you invited Brainfish to a Slack channel and it connected to a different agent than intended.

**Example:** You invited Brainfish to `#demo-slack-1` for your "Slack Demo Agent", but the channel was instead connected to the "Sales Enablement" agent.

## Step-by-Step Instructions

1. Go to the **Brainfish** app, and select **Agents**.
2. Find the agent that currently holds the channel connection (or locate the channel in the overall channel list).
3. In the connection list for that agent, locate the specific channel (e.g., `#demo-slack-1`).
4. Select the **three dots** (options menu) next to the channel status.
5. Select **Move to another agent**.
6. In the dropdown, choose the correct destination agent (e.g., **Slack Demo Agent**).
7. Select **Move**.
8. Confirm that the channel has been removed from the original agent’s list and now appears under the destination agent with a **Connected** status.
