# Understanding Isolation and Group Isolation Flags

## Introduction

This article describes the "Isolation Flag" and "Group Isolation" features used within the system to manage client transportation. These flags control how the auto-allocator schedules pickups to ensure specific client needs are met.

## Steps


1. **Purpose of Isolation Flags**: The primary function of an isolation flag is to ensure a client is transported alone, without any other clients. When this flag is activated on a client's profile, the auto-allocator is prevented from scheduling that client to be picked up with others during their travel.
2. **Group Isolation Feature**: For cases where multiple clients need to be transported together but separately from others, the "Group Isolation" feature can be used. When enabled for a group template, it allows all clients within that template to be isolated together, while preventing any clients outside of that group from being picked up with them.
3. **How to Activate the Flag**: To enable the isolation flag for an individual client, you must navigate to that client's profile within the system. The setting is located under the "default booking requirements" tab. Here you will find the toggle to activate or deactivate the feature.

## Summary

The Isolation and Group Isolation flags are key features for managing client logistics. The isolation flag ensures a client travels alone, while the group isolation feature allows a pre-defined set of clients to travel together, separate from others. These settings can be configured within each client's profile.
