# Using the Widget History Tab

The History tab in the Brainfish Widget lets users revisit their previous conversations — so they can pick up where they left off without retyping past questions.

## Overview

When the History tab is enabled, a dedicated tab appears inside the Widget. Users can browse past questions and answers at any time and continue any previous conversation from where they left off.

## Requirements

* The History tab is controlled by the feature flag: platform.widget.enable-history-tab
* Contact your Brainfish admin or support to have this flag enabled for your account
* Due to caching, it may take up to 30 minutes to appear after the flag is enabled

## How It Works

Once enabled, users will see a History tab inside the Widget. Clicking it shows a chronological list of past questions. Selecting any previous question reloads the answer, allowing them to continue from there.

## Frequently Asked Questions

**Why isn't the History tab showing after enabling the flag?**
Due to caching, allow up to 30 minutes after the flag is enabled. If it still doesn't appear, try clearing your browser cache or contact support.

**Can the History tab be disabled for specific agents?**
Yes — the feature flag can be toggled at the account level. Reach out to your Brainfish account team to adjust this.
