Inviting Brainfish to Slack channels

You can activate the Brainfish agent in a specific Slack channel directly from the Slack interface, by inviting the bot into that channel.

When to use this

Use this method when you:

• Create a new Slack channel and want Brainfish available there immediately, or
• Want to enable Brainfish in an existing channel without configuring it through the Brainfish dashboard first.

Step-by-step

1. Open Slack and navigate to the channel you want to connect.
2. In the message field, type @Brainfish to mention the bot.
3. Press Enter or select the Brainfish bot from the suggestion list to send the message.
4. Slack confirms that Brainfish has been added to the channel.
5. In some workspaces, the bot may automatically assign itself to a default or existing Slack agent so it can be used immediately.

Once added, you can interact with Brainfish in that channel using mentions (e.g. @Brainfish your question here).
