Nudges & Guidance
Nudges and guidance let you proactively surface relevant content to customers at the right moment — based on what page they're on, what they've done, or what they're likely to ask next. Rather than waiting for a customer to search, you can push the right article or answer to them in context.
This section covers how to set up and configure nudges and guidance within your Brainfish deployment.
What's in this section
- Setting up nudges — configure when and where proactive content appears
- Targeting and triggers — define the conditions that fire a nudge
- Guidance rules — control what content is surfaced and how
If you're new to this feature, start with your agent configuration in the Agents section, then return here to layer in proactive guidance.
Nudges & Guidance are proactive, in-product messages that guide users toward the right action — without waiting for them to ask. Use nudges to announce a new feature, communicate an outage, surface a CTA on a specific page, or quietly tell users when something has changed.
What a nudge does
- Appears in your product (or help center) at the location and time you choose.
- Optionally targets a specific user segment, plan, region, or page.
- Carries a title, body, icon, and optional Call-to-Action link.
- Tracks views, clicks, and dismissals so you can measure impact.
